LG KE970 or the LG Shine, as it is popularly known, is a sleek slider phone. The LG Shine is a follow up model of the hugely popular LG Chocolate. Obviously, the LG Shine belongs to the same Black Label series as the Chocolate, however the two handsets are completely opposite to each other. While the LG Chocolate was dark and mysterious, the LG Shine is bright and shinny. Despite these basic differences, both the handset share a common trait of the Black Label series – high class designing. LG has one of the largest designing team, and the result shows on the work they have done with the LG Shine.
The LG Shine is an all metal slider phone with almost all of its casing made of shinny stainless steel. The handset boast of a compact profile of just 99.8 x 50.6 x 13.8 mm. Because of the robust all metal body, the handset, when compared to current crop of slim phones, is a shed on the heavier side at 119 grams. The handset uses mirror effect screen to hide its 2.2 inch, 262k coloured TFT display when the LG Shine is in standby mode. The screen merge in the silvery shine of the handset's metal casing, creating an even reflection on it – just like a mirror.
One can download wallpapers or polyphonic or Mp3 ringtones to personalize the LG Shine to suit one's taste and personality. Embedded GPRS and EDGE technologies makes data connectivity as swift and simple as it gets. Send emails, download attachments in popular PowerPoint, Word, Text, Excel and PDF formats to work on the on board Document Viewer. A WAP 2.0/xHTML browser for easy browsing and quick downloading of desired content from the web makes for a pleasurable mobile internet experience. The LG Shine also boasts of a 2.0 megapixel camera and a top drawer media player to keep you engrossed when you are not actually using the mobile phone to connect.
